WEB-BASED ONLINE THESIS GUIDANCE SYSTEM APPLICATION DESIGN

Abstract

A thesis is one of the mandatory subjects as one of the requirements for obtaining a Bachelor's degree (S1). The thesis or final assignment is proof of the student's abilities related to the results of research in the field or the results of theoretical studies regarding problems related to his/her major. The guidance process is still carried out face to face according to the supervisor's schedule while on campus. There are obstacles that cause the process of completing students' final assignments to be hampered, namely the difficulty of students and lecturers in holding meetings for guidance on their thesis or final assignment due to differences in the schedules of supervisors and students who come for guidance for both computer accounting and information systems majors. Therefore, there is a need for an online thesis guidance information system that will make things easier for lecturers and students. This system was designed using UML tools, and the system development tools used the waterfall method. And uses the PHP programming language. The final result is a website.
